PUMPKIN PIE PLEASE

It's not often that I get 'commissioned' to make a card for someone else but my friend Jenny called to ask if I could make a special birthday card for a lady who is turning
80 and loves the colour orange.  She has requested no gifts but lots of cards instead, so I thought a special card would be in order.  Now, I'm not a particular
lover of orange but S/U's Pumpkin Pie is a little easier on the eyes
than some of the other in-your-face oranges around.

Trying to get some use from my investment in the Grand Calibur and dies,
I decided to make a round card.  I honestly don't know how we survived
before Nestabilities!

And what would a card be without glitter?  The butterfly has been glitterfied
and a few tiny pearls were also added.

And on another note, the critter that I posted about the other day was NOT A RAT!!!
It was a vole or mole and they are slightly larger in size than a mouse (about 3" long and plumper than a mouse).  He has been relocated to the cherry orchard,
adjacent to our house and I sternly told him not to return.  I am however,
not going to replace the window screen quite yet ... just in case!

Thanks for stopping by.

Ha ha ha...glad that you 'sternly' told the critter to stay away from the house! Bonnie, this card is so beautiful - the friend that commissioned you is not going to want to give it away! Perfect card, my friend!

This is a stunner! I love the pumpkin pie color and you are right, it is not a brash orange. You did a beautiful job on this. I bet she was so impressed! Best, Curt
